MAKING A DIFFERENCE ON WILD NIGHT OUT

Through Wild Night Out we can inspire each other to get outside but there are also those that need a bit more help. Some young people would never have the opportunity to experience the outdoors in a meaningful way without organisations like the Youth Adventure Trust. So if you're having an amazing time on Wild Night Out think about paying-it-forward by donating, every little helps

Outdoor adventure can have a massive effect on somebody’s life, which is why being outdoors is at the heart of everything they do at the Youth Adventure Trust (YAT).

For 25 years their carefully designed programme has given over 3,800 vulnerable 11–14 year olds the hope, confidence, resilience and skills to face the challenges in their daily lives. Challenges such as bullying, self-esteem issues, chaotic home lives, on the brink of exclusion from school, no positive role models, living in poverty or rural isolation.

The young peoples’ circumstances can lead to them making poor choices that will affect their future chances. YAT help them to overcome the challenges they face, make positive decisions, form positive friendships, exceed their expectations and achieve their full potential.

YAT use outdoor adventure to inspire these young people over 3 school years and help them discover their true potential and exceed their expectations.

Without the Youth Adventure Programme, many of these young people would never have the opportunity to experience the outdoors in a meaningful way.  YAT offers them 3 residential camps and 7 difference activity days over a three school- year period between Year 7 and Year 9.  The cost of the programme is completely free to the young people but costs £3,300 per place to run.

All of the funds raised by the Wild Night Out will go towards the cost of a place on the programme.  By taking part, you will be helping vulnerable young people get outdoors.  You will be changing their lives.

We hope you have an adventurous and fun Wild Night Out and are able to give what you can afford to help a child experience the same. You can donate £1, £5, £10, £100 any sum you can afford here
